Diagnostic imaging

Helping us make more informed decisions
At STAR Vets, we use modern diagnostic imaging to help us understand what’s happening inside your pet’s body, so we can make informed decisions and start the right treatment sooner.
Book a diagnostic consultDigital radiography (X-rays)
Allows us to quickly and clearly assess bones, joints, chest, and abdomen, helping to identify fractures, arthritis, lung disease, and many internal concerns with minimal stress for your pet.
Diagnostic ultrasound
Provides real-time images of soft tissues such as organs, muscles, and fluid-filled structures. It’s especially useful for investigating abdominal problems, monitoring organ health, and guiding further treatment, often without the need for sedation.
Endoscopy
Offers a minimally invasive way to look inside areas such as the stomach, intestines, airways, or nasal passages, helping us diagnose problems while avoiding more invasive surgery where possible.
Advanced diagnostics
When more detailed investigation is needed, we have access to advanced diagnostics through STAR Rehab Referrals, including arthroscopy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and CT and MRI imaging.
Discover advanced diagnosticsOur Advanced Diagnostics suite allows us to investigate complex orthopaedic, soft-tissue, or neurological conditions with greater precision, while keeping your pet’s care coordinated and joined-up.
Together, these diagnostic tools help us reach faster, more accurate answers, reducing uncertainty, supporting gentle care, and allowing us to tailor treatment to your pet’s individual needs.
If advanced imaging is recommended, we’ll always explain why, what to expect, and how it will help, keeping you informed and reassured every step of the way.
