Cat friendly practice

At STAR Vets, we understand a trip to the Vets for some cats is no ‘stroll in the park’. That’s why we’re committed to providing a cat friendly environment at our Appleby Magna practice.

Giving cats the STAR treatment

To reduce any potential stress on your cat, we have a separate cat waiting area at our practice. You and your cat can wait comfortably for their appointment, away from the inquisitive noses of our canine visitors. It can help cats relax if their carry basket is up off the floor, and a towel is placed over it to dampen unfamiliar sights & sounds.

We also have separate cat and dog kennels, for when your cat needs to stay with us for the day or overnight. In our care, they can enjoy a ‘cat nap’ on comfy bedding, in a quiet cat-only room, whilst receiving lots of love and attention from our team.

Our many veterinary services for cats include:

• Important annual feline vaccinations and a health check with the vet.
• Parasite protection for cats to help keep fleas, worms & ticks away.
• Nurse clinics for weight & diet, dental care, and senior cat care.
• Your cat can also benefit if you choose to sign up to our Shining STAR Wellness Plan.
